No one actor holds all the knowledge required to create meaningful change. Communities understand their own needs, strengths, and lived realities. Nonprofits bring deep expertise in implementation. Funders bring resources, perspective, networks, and the ability to invest at scale. Boards, researchers, evaluators, and other partners each contribute another piece.
My work is helping these forms of knowledge meet one another.
Having worked across institutional finance, nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, community investment, and consulting, I have learned to move between very different environments and perspectives while recognizing the value each brings. I approach that work with curiosity and deep listening—building relationships that allow people to share what they know, identifying patterns across those perspectives, and translating what emerges into strategy, investment, implementation, and learning.
My lived experience across cultures and identities—including my Indigenous ancestry—has also shaped how I understand community and interconnectedness, how I listen, whose knowledge I look for, and my belief that expertise exists in many forms.
The goal isn't for one part of the ecosystem to have all the answers. It's to create the conditions for each to contribute what it knows so that better decisions—and stronger impact—become possible.

I help funders develop grantmaking strategies grounded in mission, community knowledge, field insight, organizational priorities, and the realities of the organizations doing the work. Depending on the engagement, this can include stakeholder research and listening, landscape analysis, priority setting, portfolio design, and translating strategy into actionable funding approaches.

Strategic Funding
Strong grantmaking systems help decision-makers access the information they need while keeping processes proportionate for the organizations seeking support.
I help funders assess and strengthen their grantmaking infrastructure, including application design, due diligence, investment and selection criteria, decision-making frameworks, and reporting requirements. Together, we identify opportunities to make these processes more consistent and useful—supporting mission-aligned funding decisions while reducing administrative friction that can limit trust, candor, and partnership with grantees.

Implementation & Strategic Learning
Strategy continues to evolve through implementation—through what we learn as the work unfolds and how we adapt in response.
I help funders translate strategy into actionable initiatives, work plans, measurement frameworks, and learning processes that bring insights from grantees, communities, and implementation partners into leadership and board decision-making.
This can include defining outcomes and KPIs, designing proportionate reporting and evaluation approaches, facilitating learning across a portfolio, and identifying when emerging evidence calls for a course adjustment.
Outcome: A practical approach for implementing your strategy, learning alongside the organizations and communities you support, and using those insights to strengthen future decisions and investments.

I often think about the natural world and how every part of an ecosystem has something to contribute. Bees pollinate. Trees produce oxygen, create shade, stabilize ecosystems, and sustain life. Countless living beings play their own essential role in supporting the whole.
I believe people, organizations, and communities each have something essential to contribute.
For me, this practice is an opportunity to offer what I do best in service of people, organizations, and communities working to make our world better. My work has taken me across nonprofits, philanthropy, community investment, and institutional finance—and each has shaped how I understand the relationship between resources, strategy, learning, and impact.
I believe meaningful change happens when we recognize what each of us brings, learn from one another, and put those strengths in service of something larger than ourselves.
